Properties of the solvation force of a two-dimensional Ising strip in scaling regimes
We consider d = 2 Ising strip with surface fields acting on boundary spins. Using the properties of the transfer matrix spectrum we identify two pseudotransition temperatures and show that they satisfy similar scaling relations as expected for real transition temperatures in strips with d > 2. The solvation force between the boundaries of the strip is analysed as a function of temperature, surf...
متن کاملFinite-size scaling in two-dimensional Ising spin-glass models.
We study the finite-size behavior of two-dimensional spin-glass models. We consider the ±J model for two different values of the probability of the antiferromagnetic bonds and the model with Gaussian distributed couplings. The analysis of renormalization-group invariant quantities, the overlap susceptibility, and the two-point correlation function confirms that they belong to the same universal...
متن کاملLogarithmic corrections to gap scaling in random-bond Ising strips
Numerical results for the first gap of the Lyapunov spectrum of the selfdual random-bond Ising model on strips are analysed. It is shown that finite-width corrections can be fitted very well by an inverse logarithmic form, predicted to hold when the Hamiltonian contains a marginal operator. متن کاملUniversal amplitude ratios for scaling corrections on Ising strips.
We study the (analytic) finite-size corrections in the Ising model on the strip with free, fixed (++), and mixed boundary conditions. For fixed (++) boundary conditions, the spins are fixed to the same values on two sides of the strip. We find that subdominant finite-size corrections to scaling should be to the form a(p)/N(2p-1) for the free energy f(N) and b(p)/N(2p-1) for inverse correlation ...
متن کاملFinite size scaling analysis of intermittency moments in the two dimensional Ising model
Finite size scaling is shown to work very well for the block variables used in intermittency studies on a 2-d Ising lattice. The intermittency exponents so derived exhibit the expected relations to the magnetic critical exponent of the model. a) Partly supported by the KBN grant 2P30216904. b) Partly supported by the KBN grant 203809101. c) Also Institute of Nuclear Physics, Cracow. d) On leave...
